  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • 2 teaspoons sage leaves
  • 1/4 ounce salt

With licorice root tea you can naturally get some relief for strep throat infection. Licorice Root has anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties which can relieve you from swelling and irritation, and soothe the mucus membranes of the throat.
  • 1 cup chopped dry licorice root
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon chips
  • 2 tablespoons whole cloves
  • 1/2 cup chamomile flowers
Add all ingredients in a bowl. Store in a glass jar and keep it away from light. for tea, add 3 tablespoons of the tea mixture and 2 ½  cups of water in a saucepan. At medium heat, boil this mixture, then reduce heat from medium to low, and after 10 minutes pour into a large mug through strainer.
